A little bit about us

Interesting and different opportunity! We own a company in Montana and need to be out there in the summer. We have daycare here and don’t want to lose our spot but need help when we are out there! You could stay in one of our houses that are close to us, we would provide a vehicle for you and you can take advantage of the amenities that our business provides (pontoons, UTVs, kayaks, etc) We are a couple miles outside of Glacier National Park. We have 2 boys, (5 and 2). They love adventure!

ISO Short-Term Part-Time Nanny
Location: Rogers

Number & age: one 12 month old boy

Times/Day: Monday through Friday, ideally 11am to 3 or 4pm

Pay: $18+/hour; will follow tax laws

Dates: August 28 through September 15

Looking for a part-time nanny while ours is traveling Europe for three weeks! The ideal person will keep our energetic and curious boy engaged with playing, learning age appropriate skills, reading to him, taking him outside to play (house on a cul-de-sac), feeding him lunch and snacks (provided), etc.

My son, Jordan, hasn’t quite figured out walking yet so he still crawls but is pulling himself up on things. My husband and I both work from home so will pop in to play and snuggle with him when we have a free moment 😊

What Are Short-Term Nanny Jobs?

Short-term nanny jobs are temporary positions with a set end date, such as covering a parental leave, a family move, a summer, or a gap between nannies. They suit nannies who like variety, are between jobs, or want to try a family before committing.

Types of Short-Term Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Short-term jobs can be full-time or part-time and last from a few weeks to several months. Responsibilities are the same as in an ongoing job, with an emphasis on getting up to speed quickly. Check the dates, the hours, and whether there is a chance of the role being extended.

How to Interview for Short-Term Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and could the job be extended?
  • Is the schedule full-time or part-time?
  • What is the reason for the temporary role?
  • How will I be paid, and is there a written agreement?
  • What routines and house rules should I know on day one?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
