A little bit about us

I am seeking someone who loves early childhood development, and is professionally minded. They would also be energetic, independent, adaptable, aware, coachable, open-minded & receptive, & willing to live-in & support as a Personal Assistant (65%)/Mothers Helper (35%). You must be willing to occasionally work the weekends or early or late hours as I have clients in various time zones.

I’m in the development phase of a healing & parenting retreat company with a dynamic team that you could grow to be an integral part of. You’ll have the unique opportunity to work closely with me on a variety of different tasks both with respect to my professional & personal needs, including with my kiddos.

While we will work together & tag-team during agreed upon hours, the role requires initiative, responsibility, and foresight. This can be a short, medium, or long-term position, depending on your preferences & how well we all vibe.

Requirements:
-Passion for early childhood development & interested in personal growth
-Must be comfortable working on screens at least part of the time as my organization is remote & supports families on a global scale.
-Must understand what it means to ‘hold space’. As there won’t always be something for you ‘to do’ so to speak, so must be present & grounded in your own being & able to feel at ease & at peace even if not constantly doing something.
-Detail-oriented, organized, patient, & easygoing
-Housekeeping, organizing, and general upkeep of space
-Assisting with general ad hoc tasks for my business, with skills such as a proficient typer, familiar with whats app business, sensitive/compassionate communicator, & experienced with google docs.
-Bonus: social media skills such as photography, filming, content creation, & other tech-savvy skills

This Opportunity Is Ideal For: someone, who is comfortable with the solitariness of island living and able to travel, who wishes to develop a wide variety of skills, both interpersonally & professionally.

What is a Special Needs Nanny Job in California

A special needs nanny focuses on caring for children with special needs. You’ll be responsible for creating individualized care and activities that combine both consistency and stimulation. The family you’re caring for will have schedules and preferences to share with you to ensure that their child receives the best care possible.

Preparing for a Special Needs Nanny Job Interview in California

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a special needs nanny job interview. Here is a list of some infant nanny interview questions to prepare for:

  • What is your specific experience with this diagnosis?
  • Can you tell us about your experiences with children with special needs?
  • Do you have any California special training?
  • What would you do if an emergency arises?
  • How strictly do you usually follow a schedule with children with special needs?

At this stage, you should come prepared with references from past special needs nanny jobs. It is a great opportunity to see how you fit in with the family and ask any questions about the responsibilities or compensation. To ensure everyone has a shared understanding of the role and responsibilities; we recommend asking for a job offer or a nanny contract.
