A little bit about us

Hi everyone! Our family is looking for a part time nanny for the summer, around 1-2 days per week in our home in Cumming. We have two daughters: a newborn (will be 8 weeks at start) and a 10 year old. The 10 year old is fairly self-sufficient but we would love a nanny able to take her up to the neighborhood pool or local park on occasion. Position will start end of June and will continue at least through August. Position may extend past August depending on person. Schedule may vary but we will try to be consistent with hours, with consideration towards candidate’s needs as well. My schedule may require occasional changes depending on my work needs. There may also be days where I will require assistance while working from home.

We would love a candidate who can be flexible, enjoys working with newborns, and can still give attention to our older daughter. We require that you have a valid driver’s license, First Aid and CPR training, and ability to pass a background check. Must also be non-smoker and pet-friendly (we have a larger lab).

A little bit about us

Hello, my name is Dustin. It’s summer again and I’m looking for a babysitter. My daughter is 8 and my son is 6. They are both sweethearts. My son has been diagnosed with ADHD and Autism. He’s a sweetheart, but a busy body. I work unique hours being in public safety. I’m trying to find someone reliable, mature and patient. I work 24 hour shifts. It would be ideal if you had your own place where I could drop the kids off and pickup from that is safe. Summers are the biggest headache for me. Babysitting has been an absolute nightmare. If you feel like you can help please reach out. We can discuss money and all that stuff. Thanks in advance

What Are Summer Nanny Jobs?

Summer nanny jobs are seasonal positions that cover the school break, from a few weeks to the whole summer. They suit teachers, students, and nannies who like seasonal work or want to try a new family. Many families look for summer help early in the year.

Types of Summer Nanny Jobs and Responsibilities

Summer jobs can be full-time or part-time, and some include travel to a vacation home or trips with the family. Responsibilities often focus on activities, outings, meals, and keeping children engaged, sometimes alongside camps and classes. Check the start and end dates and hours in each posting so they fit your plans.

How to Interview for Summer Nanny Jobs

Once you start connecting with prospective employers, the next step is a nanny job interview. Here are some questions you should ask:

  • What are the start and end dates, and are they firm?
  • How many hours a week, and does that change during camps or vacations?
  • What activities and outings do you want me to plan?
  • Will I need to drive, and is a car provided?
  • Is there any travel with the family?

Beyond asking these questions, families will want you to have your nanny references ready and ask any questions to show initiative. The nanny job interview is an excellent opportunity to get aligned on the nanny job expectations. By doing this, you can get off on the right foot with your future employer.
