A little bit about me

I have children of mine 3 boys 22, 17 and 5. I have been raising babies since I was a little girl and I have always been good at it. I have worked with kids with learning disabilities as well as kids with behavioral issues. I have found that no what matter what the child may have a disability from, the bottom line is nome of deserve to be treated any different they all need to be cared for, loved and shown the same affection as all of the other children. They just may need it in different ways or may need it a little more. Than the others but it's the nannys or teacher jobs to assets the situation and make a schedule to allow for those times to take place so that it doesn't interfer with what is going on with the other kids or classmates. Thats why it's important to know and understand the babies and kids you work with so you know their cries, whines, whimpers, aches, ailes etc. and what part of the day it's occuring at especially if you have already got them in there routine.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids are safe. At all times they are. Fed clean and put to bed. The house is picked up and in order and more important to lighten the load for the parents as well as allowing the parents to know their kids are in good. Hands and things are being taken care of not to stress they can finally relax just a little and focus on the adult matters cause their baby buddles are well taken care of as if they were the ones taken care of them.

My experience with special needs children...

Administration of meds, cleaning of. And Feeding tube area. Changing of linens, rolling from side to side to prevent bed soars, changing of closkamay bag. Taking them out of bed to put in electric chair, sponge baths, feeding without tube. Flushing iv.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Watching the babies learning, the actual a-ha moment when their little brain clicks and they realize they are talking, walking, and learning things they didn't know yesterday!! Is so amazing!!
