Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked in professional childcare for over 9 years, including roles as an assistant teacher, lead classroom educator, and after-school program leader. In each role, I cared for children ranging from infants to school-age, supporting their emotional, social, and developmental needs. I’ve managed daily routines, guided learning activities, and built strong bonds with children and their families. My experience includes potty training, diapering, preparing meals and bottles, facilitating circle time, and providing a warm, structured environment where children feel safe and loved.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging children through hands-on, sensory-rich activities that are both fun and educational. Messy play like finger painting, sensory bins, slime, and water play are some of my favorites! I also enjoy doing crafts, simple science experiments, and activities that get kids moving and thinking. Reading stories, imaginative play, dress-up, singing and dancing, and even baking together are all part of how I help children explore their creativity and build confidence. My goal is to make each day joyful, enriching, and full of opportunities to learn through play.

The most important part about being a nanny...

To me, the most important part of being a nanny is becoming a trusted part of the family. I don’t just provide care- I offer emotional support, consistency, and a nurturing presence that helps children feel safe, seen, and valued every day. I believe in fostering an environment where children can grow emotionally strong, develop confidence, and feel secure to explore, learn, and express themselves. Building that kind of relationship with a child(ren), and their family, is the heart of why I love what I do.

My experience with special needs children...

While I don’t have extensive experience working with children with special needs, I approach all children with patience, empathy, and a willingness to adapt to their individual needs. I’m always open to learning from families and professionals to best support the child’s development and daily routine. I believe every child deserves to feel understood, included, and supported in a way that honors who they are.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’m just beginning my journey as a private nanny, so I don’t have a favorite moment- yet! But I’m truly looking forward to the day I get to be part of a child’s world in such a meaningful way.
