Making the family comfortable with you. I think building a trusting bond with the parent(s) is so important! Who would I want watching my child? Who would I trust in my house? These are important questions to consider when hiring and that’s why I love to have the family get to know me while taking on this role.

My experience working with a child who has special needs was wonderful. I am very understanding, comforting, and I make it my job to ensure that they feel comfortable with me. I work with their emotions and it never affects me if they have a special schedule that needs to be followed.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is tough to choose just one favorite nanny moment. I have so many personal amazing experiences from my many years of nannying. My favorite thing to do during the holidays (if the family celebrates/I have asked for permission) to bring gifts and goody bags for the kids. They seem to always love and appreciate it.
