I feel the most important thing about being a nanny is not expecting the same thing from every child. You have to be open to a lot of things and you have to understand the ways people grow up. You also just have to understand that kids will be kids and all kids are different.

I haven’t had a lot of experience with special needs children but I have had experience with autistic children working in the daycare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments was when I finally realized my consistency with wanting to see these kids learn paid off! One of my kids and the daycare finally recited a whole entire song, it was quite rare for this child to catch on so quickly so I truly made such a difference when I got the child to understand and grasp it so quickly.
