I have worked for an inclusive childcare center where I cared for children with and without disabilities. This included changing diapers, helping with crafts and activities, feeding children that needed help during mealtime, and cleaning the classrooms. I love working with kids, and it never feels like a chore to me. I have a lot of patience for them no matter their abilities, and I really try to pay attention to what works best for the child. It is so important for children to understand that they are worthy, meaningful, and good people, and I truly think that that shows in the work that I do with them.
