More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have always helped care for all of my brothers and my one sister. My older brother is autistic and so is my youngest brother. So I have experience in special needs. I have also always helped at church in the nursery and cared for infants and toddlers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy taking children to parks, zoo, swimming, cosi, a lot of activities that I used to do as a child. I also like to do flash cards, board games and indoor activities as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being nanny is, being kind, loving and unforgettable. kindness is important because it teaches kids that being kind will get you a lot farther in life than being naughty. Loving is to teach kids that love comes all ways and unconditional love is what I show to all children. And being unforgettable, I know that I have impacted yet another life, teaching, caring, loving and always knowing that if I taught a child something that they could remember the rest of their lives they will always remember miss Abby taught me that. It's just a good feeling to be able to impact a Childs life to teach them and love them to help them to grow into a smart and strong person.

My experience with special needs children...

My six year old brother is high functioning autism. He is very smart, loving and sweet. He does struggle with communication skills, he likes sound its called stem he claps his hand really loud but is being taught other techniques instead of clapping. My twenty-two year brother is also autistic he is also very loving and cares about everyone. He also struggles with communication skills, he paces a lot on his tip-toes he's not as bad as my younger brother but they're almost the same they are very hard to know how to take care of there is just a lot of techniques and routines you have to go through to really 100% know how to take care of them.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moments taking care of children is just the funny things that they come up with or say. I swear I was helping my friend cook dinner for her children and we spent so long making it and we all sat down and her oldest son was 5 at the time sat down and looked at his food and said, "I don't like this!" and we all said to him how do you know you didn't even try it? He responded and said, "well this is brown like dirt and I know that I don't like the taste of dirt." He then got up from the table and walked away.
