A little bit about me

Hello, everyone! My name is Abby. I am a caring and enthusiastic individual with a passion for working with children. Throughout my life, I have pursued my interest in early childhood education by taking relevant classes and gaining hands-on experience in an elementary school setting. My dedication has led me to earn my ECCAT degree and complete first aid and CPR training. I am currently in my third year of college, majoring in elementary education, and I have been working with children in public schools. I truly enjoy engaging children in creative activities, and I am confident that I can provide a safe and nurturing environment where they can learn and thrive!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have completed early childhood education classes, which have allowed me to work actively in elementary school settings. I obtained my ECCAT (Early Childhood Classroom Assistant Teacher) degree, as well as first aid and CPR certifications. Currently, I am in my third year of college while working in public schools with children. I have been involved with children for most of my life and have developed a strong passion for working with them!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Depending on the children's ages, I enjoy arts and crafts, reading aloud, games, educational activities, and coloring.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny is building a loving, trusting, and nurturing relationship with the children in your care. While practical skills like cooking, cleaning, and organization are important, a nanny's primary role is to provide emotional support, guidance, and a sense of security for the children. The children should always feel like you are there for them always!

My experience with special needs children...

Within my EECAT experience, I have worked hands-on with several students with special needs and provided individualized support.
