A little bit about me

I have loved caring for children since I was young. I spent my high school years being a mothers helper and babysitting on weekends. After graduating High school I went to college for Early Childhood Education. From there I worked in daycare centers with infants and toddlers, and then became a full time nanny with a long term family for 3. 5 years. During that time I realized I wanted to do more and became a foster parent to infants and toddlers. I took a few years off to be a stay at home mom to the wonderful kids who came into my home, during this time I had my daughter who is now 1! I have loved being a stay at home mom but miss helping other families. I am looking for a position where I can bring my 1-year-old daughter, who loves playing with kids of all ages! I am first aid/CPR certified as well as do 20+ child related training hours a year. I know how important it is to trust someone with your child and would love to be that person for you!

I have worked for the Town of Amherst Summer camp counselor. I have worked in 2 day care centers.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Spending time outdoors, going for walks, going to local playgrounds, doing puzzles, having picnics, and drawing with chalk!

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a nanny to me is keeping the children safe and healthy. The next most important thing to me is the relationship I build with the children I care for. I have a special bond with each of them and stay in contact with families even when I am no longer needed.

I am a foster parent and have cared for children with a spectrum of special needs. I am also used to working with therapists like PT/OTs.
