The past three years I have worked as a full time nanny for infants and toddlers. Previously I worked in early childhood education centers and as a temp nanny for families on vacation in the Lake Tahoe area. While nannying I follow a child led approach and believe children should be able to explore the world around them and engage with their great community. The one year old I currently nanny and I go on outings to places such as the aquarium or indoor place space at least twice a week. We also read stories, listen to music and spend time outside daily. When he was receiving occupational therapy through early intervention I attended his appointments with him and helped him practice his necessary exercises to aid his developmental. I also provided overnight when necessary.
