More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I am the oldest of 4 kids so I was the one responsible for taking care of the younger 3 when my mom went to work and now I have raised my 4 kids. I am also a Nurse's Aide taking care of dementia and Parkinson's patients. I love what I do and would love to help anyone that needs help.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Well, I try to make activities age appropriate. I like to take them to the park to run around and play safely. Also, I like taking them to the beach or a local pool to play. I love to garden and bake and I love to include kids in all of that. They seem to really making treats they can share. We could do crafts and games and other fun things to keep them off their phones.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most important part of being a Nanny is that you are the adult when the parents aren't around. It is up to me then to teach the kids lessons to shape their little minds and help them through school and to fit in with friends. I’m not their parent so I try to be more of a friend and I try to make things fun for everyone.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children and adults with all kinds of disabilities. I could handle whatever you throw at me. I have experience with wheelchairs and toileting issues and lifts to get them in and of bed or their wheelchair. I can handle it all.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When it was raining outside we made our own fun setting up play tents for story time and nap time. I played a fun game of safely throwing couch pillows around the living room with all the kids. My kids had sooo much fun with that. It became a sweet memory for them. I want to give other children the same sweet memories.
