More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have experience both in a licensed childcare settings and as a private nanny. At the YMCA, I worked as an Enrichment Counselor where I planned fun, engaging activities with a variety of different age groups while ensuring a safe and structured environment. I also spent three years as a nanny, providing consistent care to 3 kids, the youngest being 6 months old.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love incorporating developmental play into our day through both indoor and outdoor activities. I enjoy going on stroller walks, exploring nature, and doing fun outdoor activities like treasure hunts, water play, and chalk art. I think outdoor time is so important for fresh air and gross motor development, whether we’re visiting a nearby park, playing with bubbles, or having a picnic outside.
Indoors, I like to create sensory bins, read books together, and do simple arts and crafts that encourage creativity and fine motor skills. I also enjoy building with blocks, singing songs, and having dance parties to keep the day fun and engaging. For babies, I love tummy time, story time, and introducing different textures and toys that promote early learning.
Overall, I focus on making each day a mix of learning, movement, creativity, and laughter while supporting each child’s individual milestones.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where children can grow and thrive. Safety is always my top priority, whether that means staying alert during playtime, following routines, or maintaining a clean and child-friendly space. Beyond physical safety, I believe emotional security is just as important. I strive to build a trusting relationship with each child so they feel loved, supported, and confident to explore and learn.
I focus on being patient, consistent, and attentive to each child’s needs and developmental stage. My goal is to provide a balance of structure and fun, helping them learn through play while ensuring they always feel valued and cared for.

The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was when the toddler I cared for took their very first steps. We had been practicing balance and walking with push toys for a few weeks, and one morning, while we were playing with blocks, they suddenly let go of the couch and took a few wobbly steps toward me with the biggest smile on their face. I clapped and cheered, and they were so proud of themselves. It was such a special moment to witness their confidence grow and to know I had a small part in helping them reach that milestone.
Moments like that remind me why I love being a nanny. Watching children learn new skills, celebrating their growth, and building a bond that makes them feel safe and supported.
