Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in a preschool as a substitute teacher (on a full time schedule) where I helped out in the classroom with coordinating activities, behavior management, and learned to meet the social and emotional needs of children. I also currently work in the speech and language clinic at the University of New Hampshire within children (and adults), giving therapy to people with speech/language/ cognitive deficits
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love to play outside and get kids out of the house. That can include playing sports, drawing with chalk, going to the playground/beach, taking nature walks. I also enjoy arts and crafts and to play with toys around the house. Working in the UNH speech/language clinic, I have had a lot of experience modifying activities that are specific to the child.

The most important part of being a nanny is making sure the child is SAFE and happy.

I have never nannied for someone with special needs. However, I have a lot of educational background of children with special accomodations
The most important part about being a nanny...
It is hard to choose one, as ive have years of memories to look back on. My favorite might have been with this 1 young child who loved to play football. He was so surprised at my "talent" and how willing I was to play pass in the back yard for hours. The joy in his face made my day. When I came back the next time, him mom told me how happy it made him and he told her "shes the best babysitter EVER". This is not to claim that, but it did make be very happy and proud to bring joy into someones life with something I didnt even think twice about before doing!
