Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

In my junior and senior years of high school, I was in a teaching internship where I was a student teacher in multiple 6th and 7th-grade classes. I've babysat on multiple different occasions overnight, sometimes for 3 days or more. I have 5 siblings, 3 of which I babysat frequently when they were younger.
I've volunteered at multiple churches for VBS during the summer, working in the nurseries.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love taking them to parks. Some of my best memories are park trips with my brothers and I would love to help create some memories like those with other kids as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most important parts of being a nanny is communication and boundaries. You need to know the parent's boundaries and respect them, even if you don't agree with them, as well as them knowing yours too. Communicating is how boundaries become known. Communication is how allergies are found out and avoided, how mistakes get fixed, and how parents know their kids are still okay when they're gone. Parents are leaving their kids with someone outside the family. They need to know they can get in touch with the care taker if needed.

My experience with special needs children...

In my freshman year of high school, I was in a class called Partner P.E. where you get paired up with a special needs student and assist them in the P.E. activity for the day.
In my internship, we partnered with the special needs kids, and my class created activities for them to use in the special needs lab at my school.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I was watching 5-year-old twins at the time, Carrie and Clark. I watched them for a little over 3 days at a hotel in Waco while their dad was at a conference. On the first day, I got them happy meals from McDonald's and took them to a local park. This park actually had a merry-go-round which is rare now. I introduced Carrie and Clark to one and they loved it. The next hour was filled with me pushing and pushing and them laughing so hard they couldn't breathe.
