A little bit about me

As an elementary education student at Colorado Mesa University, I'm deeply passionate about working with children. With roles as a tutor at Riverside Educational Center, and a camp counselor at United Cerebral Palsy, I have skills in developing lesson plans, supporting children with disabilities, and organizing enriching activities. As for fun I was a whitewater rafting guide for two summers and brought families down a river ranging in classes from 1-3. The age range of the families included infant-senior citizens. I bring an outdoorsy, fun-loving spirit, combined with caring, patient, and energetic qualities to my work. My diverse experience has prepared me to excel as a compassionate and effective nanny. I am looking to be a nanny for a summer position near parker colorado. Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested! I would love to hear form you.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have extensive experience caring for and working with children. For two summers, I worked as a camp counselor at a cerebral palsy camp, attending to children with diverse disabilities aged 3-17, and organizing enrichment activities such as games, pool time, and educational engagements. Since 2021, I have been a tutor with the Riverside Education Program, working with kindergarten to fifth-grade students, providing academic support, and fostering a positive learning environment. I also work as a kid's soccer referee in middle school. Additionally, as the eldest of five siblings, I played a significant role in helping my parents care for my younger brothers and sisters. These experiences have greatly contributed to my nurturing, patient, and energetic nature, which I bring to every interaction with the children I work with.

Nature Walks: Discover trails and collect natural items.
Sports: Play soccer, basketball, tag, and relays.
Bike Rides: Plan safe neighborhood rides.

Music: Play instruments and sing.

DIY Projects: Build birdhouses and kites.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Nannies serve as happy helpers, safeguarding and nurturing children's well-being. They explore their pivotal duties, from ensuring safety to fostering emotional growth, in shaping the lives of the children under their care. As a nanny, I would want the children's safety first, help the parents with whatever they need, and then of course, have fun!

My experience with special needs children...

I've worked extensively with children with disabilities, including autism and muscular disabilities. As a camp counselor at United Cerebral Palsy, I organized inclusive activities and provided personalized care (June-August [phone number hidden]). Currently a tutor at Riverside Educational Center, I tailor lesson plans for elementary-aged children with special needs. Additionally, as a nanny for a child with autism, I provided personalized care and supported social and emotional development. These roles have honed my skills in providing effective care and fostering inclusive environments.
