Interacting with children was a big part of volunteering at the Natural History Museum, some children can be easy to approach but some can be rather difficult. You must have exceptional communication skills and must be very interactive in the way you explain and give information to children to make sure they are understanding what is being said to them, instead of just throwing a series of words to them without explanation. In high school I was Key Club, this club was centered in volunteering. I would volunteer for my city in like helping on Thanksgiving day to give a meal to those who can not afford it or have nowhere to go. Making sure everything runs smoothly and attending to everyone's needs. As well as directing people to tables, helping the elderly, and making sure everything is running smoothly in the kitchen. I have volunteered at many more events including the following: Red Cross Blood Drive, 5k Turkey Trot, and passing out gifts during Christmas to children.
