A little bit about me

I have been a professional nanny for over 13 years and have extensive experience with infants and toddlers and school aged little ones as well.

I enjoy spending time outdoors with my dog, hiking where we can, kayaking, and enjoying sunsets and Idaho’s beautiful scenery. I also love music (I play guitar and like to sing), playing complicated board games, solving Rubik’s cubes, reading pictures books and graphic novels, road trips, puzzles, discussing child development with my sister (who is a Montessori 3-6 Guide), and getting together with my parents and friends to enjoy meals and upbuilding association.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love engaging my nanny kiddos in fun, enriching, and age appropriate activities like baking, reading, crafting and creating, listening to and making music, and spending time exploring outdoors, as well as learning with sensory and science play too!
Some of my favorite children’s authors and musicians include: Mo Willems (Elephant and Piggie books!), Eric Carle, and Charlotte Diamond and Raffi. The “According to Humphrey” and “Og the Frog” chapter books, and the “Investigators” graphic novel series are also some favorites of mine that interest kiddos that are a little bit older.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My love of nannying is rooted in my ability to nurture young children while helping them develop the necessary emotional, social and physical skills and love of learning that will positively impact their growth. I find purpose and am fulfilled when I can provide a stable, safe and loving relationship and environment for little ones and their parents to depend on as they grow.

My experience with special needs children...

I have worked with children with neurodiversities such as ASD and ADHD. I have also cared for children needing intermittent urinary catheterizations and medications administered orally. I also have experience attending appointments such as occupational therapy with my charges as well.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I love being able to share my love of bubbles with my nanny kiddos, my favorite being the “Gidantic” variety. I mix the solution up myself (with their help), and use a large (but still easy for littles to use) homemade wand. It’s a blast!
