Coming from a Jamaican background, one of my favorite traditions is helping my cousins explore their future dreams through career dress-up days. It is so special to dress them up in tiny outfits—like a little pilot, a soldier, a police officer, or an air hostess. Seeing their eyes light up while pretending to be adults is both super cute and amazing. Teaching them to swim and getting to see their fear change into splashes of joy in the water was incredibly rewarding. Waiting them paint their own artwork and seeing for proud and focus they are is a huge highlight of being their nanny.
