More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
Relevant experience where I also cared for children includes my work as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where I support students from preschool through high school, including neurodivergent kids, helping them develop communication skills and confidence. Additionally, I have several years of babysitting experience, during which I provided hands-on care, structured routines, and creative play for children of various ages. Both roles have deepened my ability to be patient, nurturing, and attentive to each child’s unique needs.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Activities I enjoy doing with children include creative play like arts and crafts, storytelling, and building imaginative games that encourage exploration and learning. I love incorporating movement and music to keep things lively and fun, as well as quiet time activities like reading or puzzles to support focus and calm. I also enjoy adapting activities to each child’s interests and needs, especially when working with neurodivergent kids, so every moment feels engaging, supportive, and meaningful. Helping children discover new things and express themselves creatively is truly rewarding to me.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and supportive environment where a child feels valued and understood. It’s about building trust through patience, kindness, and consistency, so children know they can always rely on you. Beyond just care, being a nanny means nurturing their growth, encouraging their curiosity, and celebrating who they are as individuals every day.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with special needs children comes primarily from my role as a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, where I work closely with neurodivergent students across various ages. I support their communication, social skills, and confidence through individualized, patient, and creative approaches. This experience has taught me the importance of empathy, flexibility, and celebrating every small success, helping me build trusting relationships and create environments where all children can thrive.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when a child who was usually quiet and hesitant started coming to me for hugs and to talk about their day. One afternoon, after a tough day at school, they crawled into my lap and just needed to feel safe. Being that calm, comforting person they could turn to made me realize how important it is to build trust and be a steady source of love. Moments like that—when a child truly feels safe and seen—are what make this work so meaningful to me.
