Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
In daycare and at church! Since November of last year, I’ve been working at a daycare, and I’ve had the opportunity to regularly work with various age groups from 6 weeks to 5 years old. In addition to ensuring all the children I’ve worked with were in a loving and safe environment, I am accustomed to light house work and creating lesson plans for each week.

My favorite activity has to be singing with children. It can help develop communication skills while also being entertaining.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of child care is ensuring that the child or children are safe and their needs are being met. Ultimately, that is the top priority, but it’s only the bare minimum.
I believe the most important part of child care, beyond that, is knowing that each child is different. There is no ‘one size fits all’ way to take care of a child. You have to take the time to understand each individual child in order to care for them and teach them effectively.

My experience with special needs children...
I don’t have a lot of experience working with special needs children, but I did work with kids that had Down syndrome, autism, and ADD, at the daycare.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I haven’t had a “nanny” moment, but I’ve certainly had plenty of moments with the children I’ve had the pleasure of working with at the daycare. The best moments for me is when a child has learned a new skill whether it be rolling over, drawing, or stacking blocks.
