Being a nanny is not just making sure the children are well, it is helping them grow and evolve, it is helping the family.
My experience with special needs children...
I know that children who require special care are important, having them as a responsibility is enormous. I have taken care of a child with Down syndrome, it is always a challenge to learn to adapt to them, but with time and love you can. I also took care of an autistic child, he is the one I have learned the most from, they are wonderful. Requiring special care for me means loving them more and protecting them more, just that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I love children's existential questions or their coherent but at the same time unreal logic. A boy once told me that when he grew up he was going to work to support his wife and children but what made me laugh the most was when he told me "that's why I started saving so that my wife can go to the mall and I can say “Yes, love, buy it” so that it lets me watch the game in peace.”
