There are many important aspects of being a nanny. One of the most important is communication between both parties. Our main goal is to help the children grow, and the best way to do that is by staying informed and in sync with one another. Another key part is building a strong relationship, not only with the children, but with the parents as well. This way everyone feels a sense of connection and comfort. I am also a firm believer in little to no screen time, encouraging more hands-on, engaging activities instead. Lastly, it’s essential that the children are supported in the right ways so they can grow and truly flourish.

I have mainly worked with younger children during my years at the daycare center, so my favorite moments are when they learn to say my name. Whether it comes out as “Wana,” “Nahnah,” “Lana,” or any other creative variation, it always makes me smile.
