i have been a kids' gymnastics coach for about a year! i have coached ages 1-17 years old! i have experience in birthday parties, summer camps, and coaching my own classes with up to 15 kids. i also have been volunteering in the nursery at my church every sunday for several years!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
building forts, playing board games, hide n seek, go on walks/to playground, listen to their favorite music, and read books!
My experience with special needs children...
i did a club in middle school where we met once a week with the special ed classes. we talked with them, colored and did crafts, and would do secret santas and have fun parties! i also coach a gymnastics class for kids with special needs. through these experiences, i have been able to take notes on things such as overstimulation, routine, and nonverbal communication.
The most important part about being a nanny...
my favorite nanny moment has been when a 2-year-old child was crying because he missed his mom and he would calm down if i played 'the blessing" by hillsong worship and sang it with him. we would worship together and he would have his hands up in the air! so precious!!!
