What matters most to me about being a nanny is making children feel safe, happy, and cared for just like I do with my own sisters. I love being someone they can laugh with, learn from, and trust. Whether we’re doing crafts, playing outside, or being silly together, I always try to create a fun and loving environment where they feel comfortable and supported.
My experience with special needs children...
During my time in the BOCES early childhood program, I had the opportunity to work with a child who had special needs. I supported him throughout classroom activities by providing extra guidance, helping with transitions, and using positive reinforcement to keep him engaged. I always made sure he felt included and encouraged, and I adjusted activities when needed to help meet his individual needs.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of the best parts about being in the BOCES classroom was how fun and funny the kids were. We were always laughing and having a good time together. One of the funniest moments was during a dance-along video when one of the students started dancing and showing off his moves—he was actually really good, and we couldn’t stop laughing! It made the whole class smile.
