Hi, my name is Alessandra! I live in Saugerties, NY but am willing to travel to Kingston if needed. I’m 17, turning 18 in a few months, and currently in school working toward my cosmetology license. I speak both Spanish and English and have years of experience caring for children. Unfortunately, the last child I babysat moved away, so I’m looking for a new job. I can assist with homework and school projects, put the child to bed, and read them a story if they’d like. I’m able to meal prep, change diapers, and do light housekeeping (mainly picking up after the child). I also offer fun, age-appropriate, and educational activities. I do require appropriate pay for any extra tasks. For example, if you want me to clean the house, do laundry, or take on anything not part of babysitting, I can, but it will have an extra fee. Again, cleaning will always come after the child’s needs.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have babysat for a lot of families over the years. Unfortunately the last child I babysat moved away so I am now looking for a new job. I also have 4 little siblings I take care of all the time so I do have a lot of experience with children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy doing age appropriate, fun and educational activities with the child. Like arts and crafts, playing games, going outside, dancing—if they want to, & playing with toys. Really anything that’s safe and okay with the parents that the child can do I will do with the child to make sure they are having a good time.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part of being a babysitter for me is making sure both the parents and the child feel comfortable with me. I understand that a lot of parents feel uneasy leaving their child with someone they don’t know, and I completely respect that. My goal is to earn their trust and build a genuine bond with both the child and the family so they can feel confident knowing their child is in safe, caring hands. I also want the child to feel comfortable with me because I know not everyone knows how to connect with kids or handle different situations the right way. It’s important to me that the child feels safe and understood when they’re with me.

My experience with special needs children...

I also have experience working with children who have special needs, including those with autism and ADHD. I’m completely comfortable caring for children with these needs and understand the importance of being patient, flexible, and supportive. I’m more than happy to provide the extra care and attention they may need.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Some of my favorite moments are when the kids randomly make me laugh, whether it’s something funny they say without even trying, the little things they do, or just how they see the world. It’s always so genuine and unexpected, and those moments honestly make the job feel so special.
