I was a nanny throughout college. I worked with a family that had a 4 year old and a 3 month old. When I left college I nannied for another family that also had the same age boys. I currently work at Classical High school as the College Crusade Advisor.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love teaching the kids how to bake! That is my favorite thing to do. Other than that I also enjoy have movie day/nights, potential dance parties, I also enjoy bringing kids to the museum!
The most important part about being a nanny...
Separating being the fun person they can hang out with all day and being the adult. I think this is the most important so they do not take advantage but also so the kids can keep up on their manners and I also think it is most important to let them be themselves. As a nanny or a sitter, realistically we are taking part in these kids becoming adults some day. What we teach them will stick with them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
When I started to fit in with the family as if I was another sibling to the kids. They would call me to come over for dinner on my days off and I would also pick them up on my days off just to spend time with the kids! They seen me as a big sister, they even told me they loved me everyday before I left their house!
