Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been in hospital settings as a student! I’m also working towards a Nursing Assistant Certification ! I don’t have any experience being a nanny, but certainly as a babysitter to my youngest brother.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I just enjoy talking to kids. I believe that genuinely talking to kids and having a conversation with them as a ‘peer’ (or as much of a peer as you can be) to the kid makes them feel seen. I’m also willing to throw some money here and there to take them out, as well as setting up some home activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Although I’m new to being a nanny, I believe the most important part is making the kids feel ‘seen,’ if that makes sense ? I feel like the emotions and ideas of children are often pushed to the side because they aren’t as complex as that of an adult’s. And while, yes, they do tend to be very simple, they will eventually become complex, and acknowledging that will lead to a very emotionally mature, well adjusted teenager and, eventually, adult.
