Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love playing board games, running around outside, playing in the pool, or bringing them to a local lake. We can watch movies (if parents allow); I also often like to listen to music with the kids.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience caring for an autistic child for three years. Learning how to discipline, and act with them was tough, I know it differs between kids, but I'm so grateful for the time that family gave me so I could learn. If given the chance for someone with the same disability, I would be happy to learn for them too.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was watching 9 kids. We played outside the entire time, running around, swinging on the swings, playing hide and seek. Though my favorite part was when we played fuse ball, the kids were very competitive, much like myself, so we had a great time continuously taking turns with it for probably a good hour and a half. Everyone had a blast!
