More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I taught kids ages 3-15 gymnastics for 5 years! I also taught 5 kids with special needs gymnastics during that time as well. I also nannied for a family of 5 kids for almost 2 years until I had to move. And then nannied a baby that was 6 months old for about 8 months! I also have 16 nieces and nephews so I’ve done a lot of babysitting for my siblings! I worked as a personal care aid at assisted living homes for almost 5 years taking care of the elderly, and then my most recent job was working at a care facility working as a life coach taking care of teens and adults with disabilities! So I just really love taking care of people in general.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I can help them with homework, reading, I love looking up fun crafts on Pinterest and places like that for the kids to do and to get their imagination going! In the summer time I love being outside with the kids if that’s something they want to do and just being out in the fresh air and going to a park and things like that.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing to me about being a nanny is making sure they are getting just as much love and attention that they would get from their own parents! Making sure that they are safe at all times! Making sure each child gets the same amount of attention. Being a great example to them and giving them a lot of positive reinforcement!
My experience with special needs children...
I taught gymnastics to kids ages 3-15 for 5 years and during that time i taught 5 kids with special needs gymnastics! I took peer tutoring class all 3 years of high school helping the special needs students with their schooling. I also have a special needs sister so growing up I helped a lot with doing her hair and helping her with anything she couldn’t do by herself and my most recent experience with special needs was working at a care facility as a life coach and helping the special needs teens and adults with learning to be more independent.
