More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Most recently I've had wonderful experiences with 2 different families: 1st family: This household is a joyful whirlwind! Between the parents and me, we juggle busy schedules for 4 children. I prioritize the kids’ nutrition with plenty of home cooked meals and healthy snacks, while keeping a balanced approach — dining out and enjoying treats, too. A highlight of my time here has been coaching the two girls in dance, drawing on my background in competitive dance to refine their routines. I’ve also taught the younger ones to swim and helped strengthen their reading skills.
2nd family: This role has been such a joy—helping a wonderful family transition from 2 kids to 3. I’ve spent my days leading fun outings and playtime with the older 2, supporting their growth through art, early learning, and lots of outdoor adventures. With the baby, I handle bottle feedings, engaging wake windows, and plenty of sleepy snuggles.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I looove getting these stinkers outdoors! I really enjoy finding a heathy balance in general of educational activities and free play. Flashcards and puzzles are so wonderful especially in those early learning years. But then again, who doesn't love to mindlessly run around on the playground? :)

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have a passion for youth development! I know when it is time to be a leader and when it is time to be a friend. I love to play the big sister role and get to know each child, however, I am not a pushover. I am a huge component of tough love in the best way possible! I believe having fun and enjoying life is so important for people of all ages, but safety is my number one priority that I refuse to let slip through my fingers.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children is slightly limited. Opportunities as such simply haven't come up very often, but the ones I have had have been wonderful. I have worked with a few high functioning autism kiddos, and am happy to give them a little extra patience when needed!

The most important part about being a nanny...

One particular memory that I find hilarious is with a previous nanny family I had. I started with a family of 4 when the youngest had just turned 2 years old. She was sooooooo terrified of me for some reason. But after some time warming up, she started to cry when I said it was time for me to go. Oh how a few pieces of candy and some quality play time can change a little one's perspective. Ha!
