My experience with special needs children...
I've volunteered two years in highschool to do peers helping peers to work with special needs. My little brother is also special needs, he is 9 and autistic and non verbal, I've taken care of him and watched him many times while my mom was out of the house.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I'm not an experienced nanny but I remember playing with my autistic little brother in a trampoline park, he kept running around and laughing, he was so cute, trying to get the workers to run around with him and trying to get me, my mom and my sister to play together with him and the workers. He grabs people's hands or shirts when he wants you to follow him and kept trying to push everyone in the foam pit just to run off when we did. He's a smart kid and knows what he's doing, he a very good trickster.
