Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked for AmeriCorps "Jumpstart" as a tutor for at-risk preschoolers, and AmeriCorps "A Way with Words and Numbers" as a reading/math tutor for 1st & 2nd graders. I have also worked as a camp counselor with my local YMCA for a summer. Additionally, I served as a Registered Behavior Technician for 2 years working with children with autism. I am currently working with CDCFC Headstart as a Mental Health Consultant working with preschool aged children.

I enjoy doing a plethora of activities with children based on their interests. These activities include ways for children to explore themselves and the world while being educational and fun!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part about being a nanny to me is providing a safe and welcoming space for the children I will work with. Additionally, I believe it is important to meet children where they are and be aware of their needs in order to best nurture them. Lastly, making relationships and building rapport is essential not only so the children feel safe, but so the parents and family feel safe as well.
