I was a preschool teacher for several years. Most recently I worked with pre-k ages but throughout my career I've had significant experience with all ages from infancy to school age. Even before starting my career as a preschool teacher I was the neighborhood babysitter and the world's best big sister 😉
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love art and crafts, as well as fun sensory activities to expand a child's horizons. I also love to incorporate plenty of outside explorative activities. Be that a nature walk, playing in a sand box, bug hunting, or just plain old playing outside as well as embarking on fun field trips. These could include the dinosaur park, the treehouse museum, the Ogden nature center, etc. I firmly believe in a child's growth through engaging play so I strive to include engaging activities that will stimulate their growing minds.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Remembering how important these early years are and taking pride in being able to participate in them. Our formative years determine who we'll be as adults. I always feel lucky to be able to be a part of that development and I want to make sure that any participation I have in a child's life is a positive, loving experience.
