A little bit about me

I am a 24 year old collage graduate with experience working with children of all ages and with special needs children. I grew up on the coast of Maine and I love to hike, read, and cook.

I spent four summer working at summer camps where I taught many activities including swimming, archery, canoeing, kayaking, arts and crafts, natural science, outdoor survival, and hiking. As the Director of Adventure Camp at Nicholas Day Camps I was in charge of programming and scheduling and responsible for all activities for children ages 12 through 14.

This past year I have worked as a Special Education Technician at Mill Stream Elementary School. There I worked one on one with children in kindergarten and first grade. The children I worked with had behavioral problems, developmental delays, and autism spectrum disorder. As an Ed Tech my goal was guide my students in how to self regulate their emotions, make connections with peers, and to be curious enthusiastic learners.
