Listening and genuinely caring about any and all kids that you come across and especially care for! As a nanny it is your job to make the environment feel comfortable and safe for not only the kids but the parents too.

My experience with special needs children...

I have not cared for special needs children but I have a younger cousin with adhd that I would help take care of sometimes. He had his bad days but most of the time we were able to have a good day when I kept his mind distracted on something and stayed patient and calm even when he frustrated me.
