A little bit about me

I'm relocating from Wisconsin to California & I'm so very excited to start a new chapter!

I broke off my engagement last year & went through a lot of grief over losing my step kids, especially because I never saw the relationship ending of course.

Through my experience with my (now prior) step boys however, I was able to create a course teaching other parents how to become conscious in their parenting and heal the wounds from their own childhood like I had done in the parenting process, & I also have many other courses and coaching that I offer online.

I was a live in nanny in Sydney, Australia in 2018 for 2 girls (2,4) & then to 2 girls (6,8) and 1 boy (4).

I am compassionate, loving, encouraging, understanding, and supportive in my parenting & nannying. I'm also very organized and tidy.

I love fitness, yoga (Vinyasa certified), nature (the ocean, mountains, & hot climates mostly), traveling, and nourishing my body, mind, and soul.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a stepmom for 4 years to 2 boys (aged 2 & 4 when I started caring for them through 6 & 9 when I separated from their Dad). I hosted birthday parties and plenty of playdates during that time as well when their friends were also under my care in our home or at the birthday party location.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Going for walks & bike rides, going to the beach or a park, swimming, coloring, painting, crafts, reading, cooking and baking, and sharing hobbies we each love with each other (for example when I workout or do yoga and kids love to join in... or when kids want to put makeup or nail polish on me or show me how they play a game they love). I also love teaching kids new skills & seeing the pride they have when they get it. And often overlooked, I love when they're able to open up about how they're feeling, or set a boundary, or communicate their opinion when it's really hard to do - I love witnessing them honor themselves in those moments.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Nurturing and loving children for who they are and what they're going through each day, honoring their emotions while also honoring their needs as well, and being the support system for the kid/s in their parents' absence (whether it be for getting them to school or daycare (or back home), eating well, staying hydrated, giving them love, playing, teaching, empowering, etc.)

My experience with special needs children...

I don't have any hands-on experience with special needs children, although I am very empathetic, understanding and of course very kind and supportive when I interact with anyone with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

When I was finishing up my au pair placement with a family in Manly, (Sydney) Australia, Indi (4F) gave me a coloring book full of her artwork "to remember her by" 🥹 which I still have to this day.
