Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
It didn’t give me an option for other experience other than nannying so here’s my chance! I have worked with children for 6 years. I started in 2015 as a toddler teacher for a year. I then took a job as a private nanny for another year, she missed her babies so she became a stay at home mom so that put me back into a preschool position! I worked as a preschool teacher until November 2020. I’m currently a paraprofessional for a school district.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love doing arts and crafts with the kiddos. Which includes but not limited to cutting, gluing, and painting. I love when children get to show their true colors! I also love being outside and allowing kids to get dirty. I don’t just sit and watch , believe me I am having just as much fun as them!
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of nannying is to create a safe comfortable space for the child without overstepping and taking over as the parental role. As a nanny you are a teacher, cook, cleaner, comedian and so much more. You must be able to juggle it all!

I’m a paraprofessional for about 4 different children with special needs. Mainly on the autism spectrum.
The most important part about being a nanny...
This isn’t a specific memory but one of the best feelings is when a child shares with you that they feel safe with you. That they like you so much they want to play with you!
