Hello families! My name is Aliya, and I bring over 14 years of childcare experience as a nanny, babysitter, and substitute teacher at Mountain Sprouts Children’s Community in Leavenworth. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have over 14 years of experience caring for children in a variety of settings. I began babysitting at 13 and started nannying by 16, supporting several families long-term in the Chelan Valley, Leavenworth, and on the west side. Some of these positions lasted three to four years, giving me the joy of watching children grow through multiple stages of development.

I also worked as a substitute teacher at Mountain Sprouts Children’s Community in Leavenworth, a nature-based preschool serving children ages 3–8. This role gave me experience guiding groups of children through play-centered and outdoor learning.

In addition, I’ve provided live-in nanny care, supported families with infants and toddlers, and volunteered on mission trips in Mexico caring for disabled and orphaned children. Each of these experiences has shaped my ability to create safe, nurturing environments while supporting children’s growth and development.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love spending time with children in ways that are both fun and enriching. Some of my favorite activities include outdoor play and nature walks, where kids can explore, move their bodies, and connect with the world around them. I enjoy introducing simple yoga and mindfulness practices, helping children build tools for calm and focus in age-appropriate ways. Arts and crafts are another favorite—whether it’s painting, creating with natural materials, or imaginative projects that let kids express themselves. Reading stories, cooking together, and engaging in sensory or developmental play are also activities I love to share. Above all, I enjoy following the child’s curiosity, encouraging creativity, and making space for joyful discovery.

My experience with special needs children...

My experience with special needs children began within my own family. I have a younger sister with significant special needs, and from a young age I took on a caregiving role in supporting her daily routines, communication, and overall well-being. This shaped me into a very patient, compassionate, and adaptable caregiver, and gave me firsthand understanding of how every child has unique strengths and ways of learning. Beyond my family, I’ve also cared for children with diverse needs in my nannying work and during mission trips in Mexico, where I supported disabled orphaned children. These experiences have given me both practical skills and a deep sense of empathy for children and families navigating special needs care.
