A big organization in my life is Big Brothers Big Sisters. An organization that forms mentors starting at 16 and pairing them with a grade school student. My little was a 5th grade girl, Ellie, We formed a bond that made her feel comfortable enough to share everything with me and formed a sister-like friendship that I will cherish forever.

My experience with special needs children...
For several years I have babysat a little boy with autism. He will always have a special piece in my heart for how friendly and kind he is. Learning he had special needs made me scared for how I will be able to adjust as I have never worked with a child so young with autism. He is nonverbal yet can say so much that scared feeling inside of me was nothing to fear because the bond him and I grew was the greatest thing.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Every morning when I came for the day my kids would play "Fast Car" by Luke Combs and we all had a dance party. It was a great way to start my day at 7am!
