More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have a little brother. My mother had cancer when he was born and he had a lot of medical issues. Even to this day I am still helping him. Its not a lot of experience but it was tough.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

Arts and crafts is my #1. Painting and coloring and chalk or anything to do with creativity I'm hooked. As I mentioned I love animals, I am always walking my dogs along the canal in the summertime. Walking is a great pastime and a good way to stay healthy and feel great, when it's warm outside if I'm able to walk somewhere I will. I used to be on the swim and dive team in high school, so I spent most of my time in the water as a kid, I enjoy that as well. And though I'm not a great cook, I love finding new recipes and trying them out, food makes everybody happy.

My experience with special needs children...

My mom runs her own business and Is a financial consultant for lots of companies around Rochester, including the Rochester Rotary. Now the Rotary has created a summer camp, called the Rochester Rotary Sunshine Campus. I volunteered here all throughout high school. This summer camp is special because it is only for special needs children. Whether you aren't able bodied or minded this camp will take you in and give you the experience of a lifetime. All of their employees are there to make sure the children are having a great time. This camp is also a non profit organization where they take all of their process and use them for the kids. The parents get to send their kids to a summer camp and have a chance to live like normal kids while the parents don't have a thing to worry about. everything is covered. And I am extremely proud to have been a part of that.
