Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I grew up with a sister 6 years younger than me, so I often helped care for her growing up. I have also nannied and babysat since I was 17. I have helped tutor children who were struggling with reading, math, and language.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
During the summer when it's not too hot, I love to go on walks, play games, go to the park, do picnics, or do anything outside just to enjoy the sunshine. (with sunscreen of course) I like puzzles, legos, and crafts, or just playing with toys and watching a kid's imagination go crazy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me the most imporant part about being a nanny is building trust and a genuine connection to where the kid feels like I'm apart of the family. I want them to know I have their best interest at heart, and they feel safe with me (literally speaking but also safe in a sense to where they can talk to me about anything).
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment as a nanny was watching a little 6 year old girl help teach me German, and me helping her with English. Growing together as people, especially when it's a kid, is really awesome to me. Kids have so much to offer, kindness, compassion, and brutal honesty haha.
