Hi there, I'm Ally! I have been caring for children professionally since 2017, and truly have a passion for kids. I love anything outdoors so I love to keep kids entertained as much as possible away from screens. I love painting and drawing and so arts & crafts are also a big outlet for me. Also, in the past, I have shown well at assisting/tutoring schoolwork for the children I have watched after. Additionally, I study neuroscience and am passionate about child development, which I feel aids me to be a better caregiver for children. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have been a long-term nanny (2+ years) for two separate families. For both families, there were multiple children for me to care for and I would usually work in total about 5-6 days a week. I am proficient in entertaining the kids and making sure they have fun but also learn, I can do as much housekeeping as is necessary, and I can do any meal prep/meal making that needs to be done.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

With kids, I love to keep their hands busy. So, if we are outside I love to go swimming (if it's an option), go on walks, play hide-and-seek or other games, and do chalk drawing in the driveway. If we are inside or stuck inside (due to something like weather), I'll participate in any games like hide-and-seek, board games, or other arts and crafts activities that I can set up (like painting and drawing activities). Although I love hands on activities and even prefer them, I always love to wind down with a movie/popcorn night, or even make a fort to hangout in.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the kids feel safe, are safe, and are kept entertained and happy the whole time.

My experience with special needs children...

Although I haven't nannied for any children with special needs, I have great confidence in potentially working with them as in college, I major in Neuroscience, and took a particular interest into developmental psychology, of which caring for special needs was a major component we learned.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment would be when I was in Delray Beach, Florida on a trip with a family and after dinner one night, the kids and I went out for ice cream and sat together watching the sunset while both kids sat on my lap.
