Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I enjoy engaging children in a variety of activities that promote learning and creativity. Some of my favorite activities include arts and crafts projects, where children can express their creativity and develop fine motor skills. I also love organizing outdoor games and nature walks to keep them active and help them appreciate the environment. Reading stories together is another activity I cherish, as it fosters a love for books and enhances their listening skills. Additionally, I enjoy playing educational games that are both fun and intellectually stimulating.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for the children in your care. This involves ensuring their physical safety, providing emotional support, and engaging them in activities that promote their development and well-being. Building a trusting relationship with both the children and their parents is crucial, as it fosters open communication and a sense of security. Being patient, attentive, and adaptable to each child's unique needs and personality is key to providing exceptional care.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience working with special needs children in various settings. As a Childcare Volunteer at Tabernacle Baptist Church, I provided individualized care and support to children with diverse needs, ensuring they were included in all activities. I focused on creating a safe, understanding, and patient environment, adapting activities to meet their abilities and preferences. My background in social work and early childhood education has equipped me with the skills to effectively communicate and engage with special needs children, fostering their development and ensuring their well-being.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of my favorite nanny moments was when I helped a shy child come out of their shell during a summer camp. We were working on an arts and crafts project, and I noticed they were hesitant to participate. I gently encouraged them to join in and showed them some fun techniques. By the end of the activity, they were proudly showing off their artwork and engaging with other children. Seeing their confidence grow and knowing I played a part in that transformation was incredibly rewarding.

Amber R. - Seeking Work in Kalispell

Part-Time Child Care Provider Available in Kalispell, MT: Amber R.

I grew up in the Flathead Valley & raised both of my two boys here as a single mom while also working as a hairstylist. Being a hairstylist allowed me the freedom to create my own schedule and be present for all the big moments in my boys life's once they started school. I was able to chaperone every field trip and be there for every game. Those days when they're little can be so hectic, but they move so very fast. Before you know it, they're graduating and the role of parent takes a backburner.
I have always been such a caretaker, specifically great with children, & I truly feel that I would be the best fill in for busy parents to care for their children as I did my own.
I stopped doing hair after 25 years as a stylist due to physical strain building up on my body, & have tried my hand in the corporate world. I have no problem working full time, but I miss the innocence of little ones and how life is more about being present then dealing with power struggles.
