I really enjoy being with kids! I am able to assist with most homework. I graduated from San Jose State University and received my BA in Sociology. Throughout my course work I have done a lot of research on different cultural backgrounds and understanding of all walks of lives. I am punctual, dedicated, easy going, understanding, empathetic, and manage my time well. I love baking and doing artsy things. My schedule is very flexible. I can work weekends as well but the app doesn’t allow me to choose both. I can also start and end as early or late as you need.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

All throughout high school I volunteered my free time at a 4th R (after school program) for K-8. I spent almost over 40 hours a week with children. I then tutored and babysat through college. Currently I work with children on the spectrum ages 2 - 20

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

mostly outdoor but if it is too hot outside where they may overheat I know tons of indoor activities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Building a strong bond with the kids, spending time really getting to know each other, and focus more on learning new things and enjoying life instead of watching tv or playing on tablets/iphones.

My experience with special needs children...

I have experience with special needs children. I am very aware and knowledgeable of their needs. I know how very smart they are and when I have interactions with children I love to push them to their limits (knowledge wise). I’ve worked with both children and adults on the spectrum.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment with kids is ALWAYS when they say something about me that is raw and uncut. Kids are known for not sugar coating/ not filtering the things that come out of their mouth. No matter how mean it always makes me laugh because I have such a great sense of humor.

Other favorite moments I have with kids are when they are the sweetest! When they hug you and make you feel so loved and appreciated. When they make something for me or draw me on their picture. I just LOVE IT ALL!

Last but never least, I love when kids are bad or throw a tantrum because it truly allows me to not only exercise my patience with kids, but it gives me the opportunity to teach them. When I say teach them, I mean that they are giving me the opportunity to teach them to use their words, teach them to work through their feeling and talk me through what they are feeling.
