I love arts and crafts and drawing with kiddos! I love to take walks with kids, particularly in pretty parks. I also like to read with/to them and teach them how to read. I'm very passionate about learning through play
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part of being a nanny is to prioritize care. Some nannies think it’s more important to be friends first, but caretaking has to come first. Even if that means discipline at a stressful moment. You have to provide the care that the child needs, no matter how hard that is in the moment.
My experience with special needs children...
I cared for a pair of twins that both had some mental disabilities, one had major depression and anxiety and the other had major autism and some other issues as well. Although busy at times, I adored them and loved caring for them both. I have also cared for various special needs children at the school I worked at.
The most important part about being a nanny...
It’s hard to choose a favorite moment but one of my favorites would have to be baking Christmas cookies with kiddos!! I adore any crafts or cooking or baking but there’s something particularly sweet and magical about baking Christmas cookies with Christmas music playing and the kitchen all lit up with Christmas lights.
