Hello! My name is Alyssa and I am 18 years old. I know it can be scary to leave your children with someone who is freshly out of high school and although I do not have many years in PAID child care experience. I do have a lot of child care experience in general. I come from a big family with many children so I have been accustomed to taking care of children from newborns to 15 year olds. I love working with and being around kids, it is something that I plan to do in the future after college. I am very patient, punctual, fun, and easy to work with!

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I come from a big family so taking care of children has been a big part of my life. I have also volunteered at summer camps since I was 14, where I was responsible for children ages 3-13.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I mostly enjoy doing outdoor activities with children. For example, playing sports outside, going on walks for some fresh air, going to the park, playing tag, playing with chalk and swimming (if okay with parents). Some indoor activites I enjoy are playing board games, coloring and drawing, doing arts and crafts, hide and seek. Screen time for children is such a big part of our society now but I believe if doing hands on activities. Obviously if parents allow screen time I will not go against that.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One of the most important parts about being a nanny is having a good relationship not only with the children but with the parents/guardians too. Having that trust and connection is so important and helps so much when taking care of children.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for children with autism, down syndrome, speech disorders, learning disabilities and ADHD.
