I have over a decade of experience in a daycare setting. I started off as a helper which lead to being hired as a full-time staff member. I was registered with the county as a daycare provider. That process required a background check, finger printing, and a First Aid and CPR certification from the Red Cross. I was responsible for overseeing the safety and well being of 10-20 children daily, ages vary from infants to elementary students. I closely monitored children's activities, prepared meals, maintained a safe and sanitary environment, ensuring that the business was in compliance with all Federal and local daycare laws. I provided preschool activities to help children learn and prepare for elementary school. I also monitored headcount, so the daycare had appropriate coverage for the amount of children signed in for the day. This was a critical task needed to make sure that the daycare was able to accommodate as many children as possible, and stay in compliance.
