A little bit about me

I have been an educator for over 18 years here in the State of Texas. For 8 years, I taught the wonderful grades of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade and for the last 10 years, I served as an administrator teaching and coaching K-5th grades teachers through a very prominate school district. I knew I had wanted to teach since I was 5 years old. Children are a blessing and I wanted to help them succeed in the earliest years of their life. Not only was I a teacher, I was a coach to the parents, as being in a very under performing military school district. I looked at my job as a servant leader to all that needed me. A family, is a unit whole. It can't function unless everyone knows what their responsibility is moving forward in the unit. Nurturing the family unit, and being a support system for everyone, allowed me to effectively change over 398 children's lives. I took pride on what I did, and came everyday to work, knowing that it was on me, to show them the way.
